Coronavirus Patient Update 24th March 2020. Please help us to help you.
Please avoid coming into the Practice premises. We hope these points will help you.
Remember to help stop the spread of the virus: Self-isolate if you have symptoms or are feeling unwell. Wash your hands regularly with hot water and soap. Carry disposable tissues with you at all times. Catch coughs and sneezes in a tissue, and dispose of safely immediately.
Everyone has been advised by the Government to stay at home. You need to take necessarily particular notice of this advice because you are in an at risk group BUT you are not in the shielding group. If you need to shield, you will be sent another letter. The shielding group are people with particular conditions.
In an effort to minimise risk of infection to patients and staff and to cope with unprecedented demand on our service, we are making changes to the way the Practice works. Your co-operation & patience is appreciated. This will be reviewed daily and updated as appropriate.
If you have a fever or a new continuous cough - please do not attend the surgery. You should self-isolate for 7 days and follow Public Health advice. Keep up to date by checking our website and social media. Share this information with others - including those with no internet access. We are unable to respond to individual Facebook comments and queries.
Some non-essential appointments are/will be cancelled. If you have a pre-booked appointment the Practice will contact you. You may be offered a telephone consultation with a clinician instead.

Repeat Prescriptions Order
You may request your repeat prescription by post or by dropping your request at your local pharmacy. We are trying to decrease your need to come out to request a prescription and so are giving post dated prescriptions and using repeat dispensing where possible. You may wish to order your prescription by e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
All routine work has been suspended. This includes routine recalls for annual reviews, copies of records and form requests.
The Practice will not be providing letters or sick notes to any patient who has been advised to or has chosen to self-isolate. Please visit gov.uk for further advice on the government self certification scheme
Please visit our Coronavirus page for all the latest updates
We realise that some patients may find these changes frustrating, however verbal abuse to any member of the Practice team will not be tolerated.
Members of the Practice team also have to follow Public Health Advice and may need to self isolate because of symptoms or family members who are unwell, this will have an impact on our staffing levels. Please be patient.
Help family, friends or neighbours who may be self-isolating or those having difficulty with shopping or collecting prescriptions - or who may just need a reassuring chat with someone. Information and advice for us and our patients will change and perhaps at short notice. We apologise that due to these current pressures a Welsh translation will be not be possible for every update on our website/social media. Diolch.
