Physiotherapy and Podiatry Services
It is now possible for patients to self refer to physiotherapy and podiatry services operating from the Port Talbot Resource Centre. You can access podiatry by contacting 0300 300 0024, and you can book your own physiotherapy appointments by clicking on this link to the Physiotherapy booking form.
Please note that these services do not offer walk-in clinics. You must book an appointment.
Carer Information
It is helpful to know if you have a Carer (someone who takes on an unpaid caring role) or if you are a Carer for someone else. We have a page dedicated to Carers where you can also register with us as a carer so we can provide you with additional support.
Clinics (Appointment Only)
We hold a range of clinics some of these are chronic disease clinics, Diabetic, Respiratory, Coronary Heart Disease, Hypertension, Well Woman, Antenatal and Child Health.
All Individuals with chronic disease (Coronary Heart Disease, Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Diabetes, Epilepsy, Hypertension etc.) are advised to attend for regular and annual reviews.
If you one of the above and have not been seen in the past year, please ring for an appointment. Additional checks and questions may be made.
Appointments our clinics can be made by telephone. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let us know as this appointment can be allocated to another person who may need it.
Health Promotion
It is the Practice's policy to pursue preventative medicine for all Individuals is, our nurses offer "Well Person" checks and will advise on disease prevention, including pre diabetes advice.
GP non NHS Medical Examinations
All the GP partners carry out medical examinations for insurance companies, and other fitness medicals by appointments. These include Large Good Vehicle (LGV) and Passenger Service Vehicle (PSV) licences, elderly drivers, sporting, and preemployment needs. There is a charge payable by the Individual for some of these medicals. A full list is available in the waiting room.
Practice Nursing Services
Our Practice Nurse offers the following services:
- Asthma
- Blood Pressure Checks
- Chronic Heart Disease
- Diabetes Review
- First aid advice, Blood and Urine Tests, Dressings, removal of stitches etc
- Ear syringing
- Adult and Childhood Immunisations
- Travel Immunisations
- Stopping Smoking
- Cervical Smears and Contraception Services
- Family Planning
- Health Promotion
- New Patient Health Checks
- Advice on Diet
- Post Natal Exams
- Spirometry (lung function tests)
The nurse also runs a variety of clinics. An appointment is required to see the nurse.

Travel Immunisations and Advice
Our Practice Nurse is available for travel advice and immunisations. An appointment should be made at least 6 weeks prior to travel.
Please note the above clinic times may occasionally vary and we therefore advise you to check with Reception.
Access to Medical Records
Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) law, the practice is able to provide you with copies of your medical records for a variety of purposes. We aim to comply with each request in a timely manner. To find out more please see Access to Medical Records in our Data Protection secton.

Working as part of the Upper Valleys Cluster we have a range of clinics availble for patients who are registered with ourselves the Dulais Valley Primary Care Centre, The Vale Of Neath, Amman Tawe and Pontardawe Health Centre. The clinics we have available are:
