Chronic Pain Support from Swansea Bay

The Swansea Bay University Health Board have recently released a new webpage full of information to assist our patients who suffer with chronic pain. It contains information and advice about practical alternatives to painkillers, which after long term use can lead to unwanted side effects and other health problems.

The aim is to provide advice and to reduce the number of prescriptions of strong painkillers over a long period of time in Swansea Bay.

You can visit the new page by clicking on this link.

Are you concerned about your medication use? Dulais Valley offers a clinic every Tuesday in which you can discuss your medicines either over the telephone or face to face with the practice pharmacist, Peter Littlewood. This can help identify any adjustments that can be made to ensure that your medicines are at their most effective, minimise wastage, and to answer any questions you have about your medication and why it has been prescribed for you. Contact the surgery to arrange an appointment with Peter if you have any concerns or questions about the medicines prescribed to you.
